Opened at the beginning of 2024, the cardo Roma, Autograph Collection is the first hotel of Cardo Hotels. The complex is part of the Autograph Collection Hotels – Marriott Bonvoy’s diverse and dynamic portfolio of distinctive hotels – and is located in the lively Esposizione Universale Roma (EUR) area of Rome.
Originally designed by the famous architect Lucio Passarelli, this completely renovated hotel will include 324 rooms and suites and will offer innovative commercial and leisure facilities. The result is a creative hub for travelers looking for individual and inspiring jobs, as well as meaningful experiences that connect them to the culture of their destination city.
Bold and fascinating design
The interiors of the hotel were brought to life by the award-winning Designer From Amsterdam Saar Zafrir, who was inspired by ancient history. This concept is reflected in an elegant Palette reminiscent of the Roman Empire, with a rich olive green, a heat terracotta and a subtly refined creamy white. The spacious and welcoming lobby promotes a sense of community with playful geometry, spectacular arches and distinct 3d wall textures that enhance the visual appeal.

Rooms and facilities suitable for an emperor
The 324 rooms (including 57 suites) are divided into eight different categories on seven guest floors. The Signature Suites range from the POP suites of 50 m2 to the FAB suites of 75 m2 and the opulent Superior Suite of 100 m2. All properties have smart technologies such as keyless entry and a tablet that acts as a digital Concierge. Other amenities include Taschen coffee table books and a custom-made Muro room fragrance, where each element has been carefully assembled for unforgettable stays.
Perhaps the biggest attraction of the hotel is its eclectic meeting and event space of an impressive 3,100 square feet, making it one of the largest in Rome. This positions Cardo Roma as a leading destination for local and international business and social meetings. Cardo Roma will house two different restaurants, including the gastronomic treasure of the signature Vertici restaurant. Offering authentic Italian cuisine, the Vertici highlights Rome’s rich culinary heritage with a modern twist. Here you can enjoy pasta making classes and events organized by chefs with fresh and regional flavors. Accompanying the main restaurant is the Vertici Bar, a perfect place for an aperitif chosen from a selection of finely prepared Cocktails, curated by an award-winning mixologist and served alongside small plates and light bites. Meanwhile, the seasonal Spectio pool bar is the favorite place for outdoor Cocktails, snacks and Smoothies accompanied by Live music and DJs.
