Contemporary design inspired by Moroccan aesthetics

The famous architect Imaad Rahmouni from Marrakech was inspired by Arab-Berber traditions to create a luxurious contemporary design for the Park Hyatt Marrakech. The design cleverly balances the modern conveniences of the house while preserving the rich traditions of the destination in terms of craftsmanship and materiality. The design deliberately emphasizes the surrounding panoramas as an extension of its interiors. From the large lobby window to the Spa treatment and relaxation rooms and the sun loungers by the main pool, there is a breathtaking and picturesque view of the majestic Atlas Mountains and Mount Toubkal.

The 130 warmly inspired rooms and suites are among the most spacious in Marrakech, promising privacy and tranquility with Moroccan touches. Each room has traditional woven Berber carpets in pure wool and headboards depicting the Tataoui pattern (a local roofing technique made of laurel branches), as well as modern works of art from the Ifitry artists’ residence.

Thanks to an exclusive collaboration, Ifitry has organized more than 700 paintings and decorative objects especially for the Park Hyatt Marrakech, with artists from Morocco, Senegal, Benin, Spain, France, Italy and Japan. In the lobby, a masterful pendant lamp – composed of almost 600 ceramic pieces handcrafted by the visual artist Mounat Charrat – adorns the ceiling, representing a constellation of meteorites, while two abstract paintings by the Italian artist Gianni Lucchessi contrast with the surrounding wall panels in raw earth.

Drink and eat

The Park Hyatt Marrakech offers a variety of authentic and globally inspired dining options on the premises of the hotel, reflecting the gastronomic and drink expertise of the brand. These include TFAYA, an Arabesque brasserie where the famous Moroccan chef Issam Rhachi presents typical dishes with an avant-garde approach, such as Mechoui with lobster in a Marinade with black garlic, pickled lemon, Saffron, cumin and smoked Paprika. The Pavilion offers a light menu all day long to be enjoyed under the shaded pergolas of the Terrace or on a sun lounger by the pool. You can also relax surrounded by beautiful fireplaces and shelves in the living room, a social area characteristic of Park Hyatt hotels to enjoy a Moroccan mint tea or old-fashioned fennel, accompanied by Tangia Gyoza beef from the Tapas menu.
